Fine Arts Summer Academy 2017 

July 17-21

Grades: K-3rd (completed grades)


Fine Arts Academy is a week-long day camp, which allows students to explore different areas of performing and visual arts. Students may attend the entire camp (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) or may select

individual tracks.

All-day tuition: $195

Tuition includes two 2-hour tracks, two 1-hour tracks, lunch, and supplies. 

Individual Track Tuition:

5 days/2-hour tracks: $80

5 days/1-hour tracks: $50



9-11 a.m.—Stop Motion Animation

11-11:45 a.m.—Lunch

11:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.—Art

1:45-2 p.m.—Break

2-3 p.m. Guitar or Musical Theatre

3-4 p.m.—Piano or Drama



Stop Motion Animation

Instructor: Beth Hellebrand

Light, cameras, action! Learn the technique of stop motion animation and make a character move to music.



Instructor: Linda Miller

Create a variety of masks with different

materials from different cultures!



Instructor: Emily Davis

Basic guitar techniques, easy chords, strumming, beginning music reading, and singing while play.

*Please note on registration form if

student needs a guitar.


Musical Theatre

Instructor: TBD

Have fun learning a song and dance routine to a Broadway tune, all while learning about auditions,

stage directions, and projection.



Instructor: Debbie Johnston

Introduction to piano includes emphasis on keyboard geography, developing

listening skills, beginning rhythm, and note reading.



Instructor: TBD

Learn the basics of acting through script reading and improvisations, as well as how to audition successfully.
