Music Camps 2018


 Beginner Guitar Camp

July 16-20, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Ages 6 and up

Instructor: James McCutcheon

Tuition: $50, plus $10 family

registration fee for new students


Learn the basics of guitar in a fun,creative environment. Students will learn basic note reading, rhythm, and more and will get to perform for friends and family on the last day of camp.


Rental guitars available for $10. 

 Beginner Piano Camp

June 11-15, 11:00 a.m.-Noon

Ages: 4-7

Instructors: Ruth Nason

Tuition: $50, plus $10 family

registration fee for new students


Students will learn the basics of piano: keyboard geography, simple melodies and rhythms, and beginning music reading. This camp is a great way for beginners to get a taste for piano if they are considering piano lessons! Parents will be invited to observe on the final day.


 Intermediate Music Camps

Instructor: Christy Mathis

Tuition: $80 per session, plus $10  family registration fee for all new students.


Creative Composing 

July 9-12, 10 a.m.-noon

Ages 10 & up. At least 2 years of piano lessons preferred. 

Do you enjoy writing your own music and making your own tunes? If so, you’ll love this fun, upbeat camp! We’ll cover all the basics of composing. From where to begin creating ideas to notating your composition, this camp will cover it all!


What Style Is It Anyway? 

July 16-19, 10 a.m.-noon

Ages 10 & up (At least 2 years of music experience preferred, any instrument.)

From classical to musical theater, this  exciting 4-day camp will focus on a different style of music each day. We’ll learn about all the styles of classical music, jam out with some blues and jazz, rock with pop, and end on Broadway.


Are We There Yet? 

July 23-26, 10 a.m.-noon

Ages 8-12 (At least one year of music experience preferred, any instrument.)

Have you ever wondered what music is like in other countries? Using instruments and folk songs from other countries, Are We There Yet? introduces students to music from around the world.
